Why should the government keep AI afloat with tax payers money and not sell the carrier to any private taker?

The UPA-1 had ordered 111 new aircrafts worth almost Rs. 50,000 crore for an ailing airline and also took the wrong decision to merge AI and Indian Airlines. Now AI needs Rs. 43,255 crore to stay afloat and cannot pay salaries to the staff. Since the VVIPs now have their own aircrafts purchased at a cost of about Rs. 10,000 crore and have further access to Indian Airforce planes, it is time that the tax payer is not burdened with such liability and the politicians give up the luxury of experimenting with their failures at tax payers cost. PM has already told the editors the other day that he is not expert in every thing and one is certain his colleagues are equally incompetent to run airlines or telecoms, food distribution or education departments. Even USA does not have a ministry of civil aviation and many more which we have created just to rehablitate a large number of politicians as ministers and waste our national resources without any accountability.
